Why Natural Wax & Natural Candles?

Where ever you go in this day and age there are candles….in homes, work places & restaurants.

Everyone loves to burn candles, but you are harming not only

yourself, but everyone around you when you burn normal paraffin candles.

Normal Paraffin candles are derived from petroleum & when you burn them they emit soot, harmful

vapors & may also produce carcinogens. The toxins emitted can clog & damage your lungs, heart,

circulatory & nervous systems.

We have changed all this, by introducing Environmentally Friendly natural candles made from

all natural Palm Wax. These waxes are produced only from nature. Our waxes are

natural & contain no harmful toxins, therefore they will up to burn 3 to 4 times longer then normal candles.

All of our candles are hand produced, using only the best natural essential oils for fragrance,

natural colours, and recycled glass for our container candles.

Some Candle Facts

What is palm wax?

Palm wax is an ecologically renewable product made from wax distilled from the leaves of

palm trees grown in Malaysia. Paraffin, on the other hand, is distilled from petroleum, and

is then purified by sweating or solvent refining. Paraffin, which is not a true wax,

it consists mainly of a mixture of saturated straight-chain solid hydrocarbons.

What are the benefits of palm wax?

Palm oil is a renewable resource and, like soy oil, the use of palm oil to make candles

benefits the farmers who grow and harvest the palm leaves used in the production

of the wax. Palm wax candles are very hard, smooth and dry (but also have a "soft" feeling)

and thus can withstand summer heat without bending or melting and doesn’t have an "oily" feel.

How do I get the longest burn from my candle?

To get the best burn from both pillar, and container candles, burn the candle long

enough the first time you light it so a wax pool forms that covers almost the entire

top of the candle. With pillar candles you need to leave a rim of about 1/8". With

container or jar candles the initial burn should create a burn pool that covers the

entire surface of the jar. Extinguish the candle when it reaches this point. Depending

on the diameter of the candle or container, the initial burn time may be anywhere from

1 hour, up to 5 or 6 hours. Subsequently you should plan to burn the candle until it reaches

the ″memory pool″ you created with the first burn. Generally this is longer than the first burn.

Following these guidelines will ensure a cleaner and longer lasting candle. You must also

remember to reduce the wick to 1/8" before each burn and keep all candles away

from drafts as much as possible.
